Now it's times like this that I happen to love how our system works in the first place, and one of those main things is that we the voters can actually place limits on those that are serving for us (and not us them), however they happen to hate it big time but hey that's only because they've gotten a taste of not only the power in what they were elected to, but at the same time they don't want to lose what they've got which is the money that they're getting.
Now I read this editorial on Prop 28 when it comes to term limits. Personally I happen to like this since it means that there can be more change for those that shouldn't be in office in the first place, aside from constantly saying one thing and then doing another (which is what they always tend to do like crazy these days). However there is one thing that I would like to see and that's a added clause in there for those that serve as governor of the state, and that is that once they've had their full time in office, that they shouldn't be allowed to run again. After all we've now had one governor that's not only served before (and things didn't turn out too well that last time either), but is currently serving yet again as well. Personally I believe that if he runs for reelection and wins, that just like Grey Davis, that he should be recalled right out of office. We shouldn't have to deal with his stupidity for another four years again, I'm sorry but we're already messed up as it is, his coming into office would only tend to hurt us more.
Now the one main problem that I've noticed about the law makers in this state is that is that they tend to write laws not only for the short term but also with such a passion that they tend to lead to problems down the line that really shouldn't have been done in the first place. Personally I believe that if they've got an idea for a law that they should not only look at it from all angles but at the same time see what it's going to do to the state years down the line, because once they do that, then they have a chance to make sure that what they're doing will not only benefit the state, but at the same time, it won't hurt us over all after all that time is finished. (However I found out this morning that I only have one lawyer (Jerry Lowe @FresnoBKLaw) following me on Twitter, and I hope that you don't mind the shout out Mr. Lowe)
I mean from what I had partly read this morning on the hard copy version of the Fresno Bee's front page, President Obama is starting to turn to what Bush was doing during his time in office, and that's only because of the fact that when it comes right down to it, the Republicans that are currently in Washington are doing nothing but stone walling the hell out of him in the first place and that's not right in the least. So he's using the only option left, and that's executive orders to get things through, which of course the GOP will say is going to hurt the country for the worse. The only thing is, it only hurt the country if the Republicans are the ones not putting it out there in the first place, other wise if you are (like Bush was constantly doing) and it happens to benefit them as well, after all if it doesn't mainly benefit the Republicans (like the Bush Tax cuts and keeping not only them in place but also making sure that millionaires also don't get taxed either) then it shouldn't be there for the people of this country in the first place. I'm sorry to say but at the rate that things are going, you'll have this country all screwed up in no time, hell even I have ideas as to how in the world to get things going, but I'm just a lowly writer with no one actually fully listening any more :( (but that's just my life and why I happen to write it all out and let others see what I'm writing about in the first place).
Hell if you happen to be reading this political blog, and you happen to have idea, write out a comment and post it for others to see, after all the more that people post their ideas, the more chances are that they may end up getting put into a law that might help others out, but just remember to not only look at it from all sides, but to also think about the long term effects, namely that of the cost and the long term benefit of the people that it's intended on helping out in the first place.
